Stacy obtained credentials from Animal Behavior College in 2002, attended the APDT's 5 day conference in 2003, Stacy has written several excerpts and articles for dog behavior magazines over the years, including the APDT's Top Tips From Top Trainers book. Stacy has a BA in Psychology and has a Diploma from Companion Animal Sciences Institute; Dip. CBST (Canine Behavior Science and Technology).
Stacy will have a Master's in Psychology in May 2012.
Stacy has been a trainer for over a decade, a behavior consultant for 10 years and a breeder for 6 years. Stacy is educated through courses as well as plenty of hands on experience in canine behavior modification, veterinary assisting and canine breeding as well as human and animal psychology.
We utilize positive methods; the use of positive reinforcement, differential reinforcement and shaping in our training and behavioral management plans. Training or conditioning involves teaching the owner and the dog, demonstrating and educating on the treatments of the problem behaviors. We strive to provide the utmost care and knowledge about the topic to help educate the owners. We strive for excellence in every case we take.
Capabilities:
Stacy is qualified to evaluate temperament through Assess-A-Pet and SAFER methods.
Behavior Change Programming: Including and not limited to: aggression, separation anxiety, basic problems (jumping, mouthing), non-compliance.
